SGA Judiciary Hearing

The SGA Judiciary Committe has deliberated and voted on violations that were brought to its attention during the election process. As a result, the Boland/Finnegan and Ravunniarath/Davis tickets have been disqualified and will be removed from the ballot tomorrow morning. As with every Judiciary ruling, a decision summary will be posted on the Student Government website as soon as possible.

Please remember to cast your vote tomorrow, Friday, by 5pm. Good luck to all candidates,

Shuttle to Portland Airport

Student Government Association is sponsoring a shuttle to the Portland Jetport at the beginning and end of spring break. We understand that this will not be able to accommodate every individual's plans, but it is a very inexpensive option to get to the jetport. We have reserved a comfy coach bus with lots of luggage room that will depart twice on Friday before break and will make to return trips the Sunday ending break. The cost is $15 each way.

On Friday, March 21st, one bus will leave Colby at 7am and another at 12pm.

On Sunday, March 30th, one bus will leave from PWM at 5pm and another at 10pm.

Here's the details:

*Registration is at the Pulver Info Desk, in Pulver Pavillion. You will need to register your name, email, and sign a Colby transportation waiver form.

*The $15 will be deducted from your ColbyCard account. You can put cash on your card using one of the machines on campus or online at http://myaccounts.colby.edu/. Please make sure you have the proper funds in your account.

*Once you registration is complete you will receive a confirmation email with information on the pickup points and when to show up. It will be your responsibility to show up at the pickup point at the designated time, we will not be held responsible for anyone that is late. The depature times are on a strict schedule and no deviations can be made.

*Registration will run until Friday, March 14th, if seats are still available at that time. After the close of registration, the seats are non-refundable. We are not responsible for cancelled or delayed flights.

*The trip is likely to take one and a half hours. Please plan accordingly with your flight schedule. We understand that unfortunately, there is no way to accommodate all schedules.

SGA Forum is up and running!

The new SGA Forum is up and running. It can be reached through the Home tab on the menu above, or click here to start discussing all things Colby with your fellow students.

Student Escort Service

Student escorts will be available this weekend to all students. No student should walk alone. No matter where you are on campus, please feel free to call x5530. Student escorts will be based out of Pulver and will run Friday from 8pm-2am and Saturday from 9pm-3am. If you are looking for an escort contact security at x5530 and they will notify the student escorts on duty. This service is being made available in response to resent concerns about safety on campus. Student escorts are being organized through SASA, SGA, and the office of Campus Security. Have a great weekend and please be safe. To volunteer to become an escort, email Joel Pitt at jmpitt@colby.edu.
